The New Bushmen Street Dance
The annual street dance is returning to kick off the Wild Chicken Festival on Friday, March 15, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The New Bushmen will be performing in the White Swan parking lot behind Nabila’s restaurant in Fitzgerald. The concert is admission free and drinks will be available for purchase.
For $150 you can reserve a table with eight chairs and it comes with beverage tickets. For Arts Council members, the price is reduced to $125. Wild Chicken Festival Artisan Market
Join us for a curated artisan market experience at the Wild Chicken Festival. We have an incredible amount of artists who will be selling their homemade good and artworks.
They will be located behind the Grand Theatre in the Carnegie Center Courtyard. Walk under the shady park and bring a snack to eat at our huge custom picnic table. Meet our wonderful artisans and pick up unique items.
Wild Chicken Soup Exhibit
Browse an intriguing and delightful display of regional artist’s artwork. Paintings of lighter than air bubbles made with oils, to unique caricatures of swimming chickens, to nature photography and sculptures will be on display inside the historic Carnegie Center. It is free to view and open to the public.
Thursday, March 28th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Carnegie Art Connection gathering
Bring your own art and crafting supplies and start making with other local creators. Illustrators bring sketchpads and tablets, painters bring canvas, quilters bring needles and thread. A variety of artists, middle school aged and older, meet, mingle and make at Carnegie Art Connection gatherings. It is free to attend, membership is not required. Hot tea, chocolate and coffee will be available.
